I’m Lewis Compton, a 20-year-old geography student living in Birmingham, England. As a former Labour member, I take interest in left-wing politics offering an outside view which, I hope, offers a balanced view of principle and electability. I am best placed to write on British and American politics, but try to take an interest in other international affairs too. With my degree focussing on social inequality, mapping, and geopolitics, you can be sure that these topics will be covered in my blog as well as current affairs and my thoughts on day-to-day life, and what Labour, government, and the world can do to help people.
In my free time I volunteer with NCS, providing the insight of young people to the Trust that manages them, as well as doing a little bit of graphic design (you can find my very amateur work on Instagram, @politicaldoodles) and exploring the best city in the world – Birmingham.
